9.5 Programmes and Policies for Technology Transfer between Countries
As in the previous section, here we will follow the steps in the transfer process,
using experiences reported in the literature, as well as case studies (see Table
9.4). We focus on the transfer of technology between countries. The steps
we follow are; assessment, agreement, implementation, evaluation and adaptation,
and repetition. In this regard we give strong emphasis to the adaptation, assimilation
and repetition of technologies in developing countries and CEITs.
