(from Groisman et al., 1999) of the sensitivity of the frequency of heavy daily
rainfall to a shift in the mean total rainfall, based on station data from Guangzhou,
China. This example uses a threshold of 50 mm of precipitation per day. It shows
the effects of a 10% increase and a 10% decrease in mean total summer rainfall,
based on a gamma distribution of the rainfall with a constant shape parameter.
